Stephen King best selling book, well there is not just one, He is one of the most successful and prolific authors of all time, and he is one of my favorites. With over 60 books published and numerous adaptations of his work into film, TV, and other media, King has earned a reputation as a master of horror and suspense. I would say that I don’t have the guts to watch horror movies or series, and I would prefer reading books. Here is a list of his over the year best selling book that you must read, some of them my favorites, and I hope you will like them too:

The Shining

This classic novel tells the story of Jack Torrance, a struggling writer and recovering alcoholic, who takes a job as the winter caretaker of the Overlook Hotel in the Colorado Rockies. The hotel is known for its haunted history, and Jack soon finds himself spiraling into madness as he struggles with the isolation and supernatural forces within the hotel. if I am honest, I haven’t watched the movie yet, but the book, bro, is awesome, you should definitely have to give it a chance if you like to read mystery novels. This is one of my favorite Stephen king books.

IT – by Stephen King

This novel tells the story of seven friends in the small town of Derry, Maine, who band together to face their greatest fear: a monster that preys on children. The story alternates between the friends’ experiences as children and as adults, as they come together to confront evil once and for all. And I have watched the movie as well, both parts. It was scary as hell(for me), but the feelings, and goosebumps that I felt while reading this book were just, you know, these movies were not even near to that.

Carrie

This novel is the story of a high school girl named Carrie White who possesses telekinetic powers. After years of bullying and abuse from her classmates, Carrie unleashes her powers in a fit of rage, leading to a violent and bloody confrontation. The movie adaptation came out in 2013, I haven’t watched that either. But now, I think I will.

Misery

Ahhhh……A world-class masterpiece, This novel is about a bestselling author named Paul Sheldon who is rescued from a car crash by his number one fan, Annie Wilkes. However, as Paul begins to recover from his injuries, he realizes that Annie is a nurse who is far from what she appears to be, and he must use his wit and intellect to escape her clutches. I loved that movie a lot, means a lot, but more than that, the karizma that the book holds, is just unmatched. I have read the novel 3 times, and every time I enjoy each letter.

Salem’s Lot

This novel is about a small town in Maine, Jerusalem’s Lot, that is plagued by a mysterious and deadly force. As people begin to disappear, a group of residents band together to uncover the truth about what is happening in their town and to stop the evil before it spreads. I am not so sure about the movie adaptation, but the book is worth reading, just begin by reading 10 pages, it will make you stick, I dare you.

The Stand

This epic novel is about a pandemic that wipes out most of humanity, leaving only a small group of survivors to rebuild their lives. The novel is a powerful commentary on the human condition and the strength of the human spirit in the face of adversity. There is a season that you can find on it, but it flops and I think I know, why. But that Is another discussion.

Pet Sematary

This novel is about a family who moves to rural Maine, Ludlow and discovers a mysterious cemetery that has the power to bring the dead back to life.
