A Look at the 9 New Google Search Features: Searching in Style

Google is constantly updating and improving its search features to provide users with the most relevant and accurate information. And I am amazed by the efforts they are putting in to facilitate their regular users. Here are some of the new Google search features that have been recently introduced, that i would love to share with you guys:

Featured Snippets:

Featured snippets are a new way for Google to showcase a summary of a website’s content in the search results. They are designed to provide users with quick and easy access to the information they are looking for. Featured snippets are also available for voice searches and can be accessed by saying “OK Google” followed by the query. The best thing that I found about this feature is that if you ask for a query, you can definitely see the solution or the answer in the snippet, and you can click on the link for more details.

Google Discover:

Google Discover is a new feature that provides users with a personalized feed of articles, videos, and other content based on their interests and search history. The feature can be accessed by clicking on the Google Discover icon on the Google homepage or by swiping right on the Google app.

This feature is so much important for the seller online as they have to add up to that list to reach more potential customers. Maybe you have noticed that, if you search for a product, you can start to watch ads related to that specific product online. or that’s just me?

Google Lens:

Google Lens is a visual search tool that allows users to search for information using their smartphone camera. Users can point their camera at an object, text, or image and Google will provide them with relevant information, including product information, reviews, and pricing. Google Lens is also integrated into Google Images, making it easy for users to discover similar images. And if you are a curious person, this feature can help help you to get the most information out of literally anything.

Google Maps:

Google Maps has recently introduced a new feature that allows users to search for places based on their mood. The feature, called “Popular Times,” allows users to see how busy a place is at a particular time, so they can plan their visit accordingly.

I started using google maps when I shifted to Lahore for studies, and the one other feature that I liked the most is that you can download maps of a specific location for a month. That really helped me as I was new to the area and I don’t know what road to choose for a location I wanted to reach and couldn’t have access to the internet all the time.

Google Images has added the ability to search for images based on the style of the image. This feature uses machine learning to identify the style of an image and then provides users with similar images. This means if you don’t know anything about a product, a place, or a board that you have in image form, you can simply drag it, or choose from your device to look into details using the internet.

Suppose you find a picture of a great jacket on the internet and don’t know the source, you can simply search it on google images, to check if you can buy this item online.

Google Assistant:

Google Assistant has been updated to provide users with more personalized information, such as calendar events, flight details, and news updates. The assistant can also be used to control smart home devices and make phone calls. I basically used this feature to remind me about important dates already mentioned in my google calendar.

Or an important task that I have to perform on a specific day, that is also already mentioned in google keep, and to remind me about paying my bills, that it can automatically get from Gmail. This feature is so cool, if you haven’t started using it, this is the right time. You can turn on and turn off google assistant according to your need.

Google News:

Google News has been updated to provide users with more personalized news stories based on their interests and search history. The feature also includes a new “For You” option that allows users to see a variety of news sources for a particular topic. All you have to do is to add your interests and topics you want to read about, it can also suggest you some news based on your early interaction with google news.

Google Translate:

Google Translate has been updated to provide users with more accurate translations. The feature now uses neural machine translation, which provides more accurate translations of idiomatic expressions and technical terms.

Google Search Console:

Google Search Console is another tool with new updated features that allows website owners to monitor how their site is performing in the search results. As a blogger, this tool is really important for me, as it helped me to find the errors that are causing my website to run smoothly, and tips on how can I reach more potential customers. The tool provides data on how many people are visiting the site, how they are finding the site, and how many pages are being indexed.

In the end, Google has a lot for you guys. It is constantly updating and improving its search features to provide users with the most relevant and accurate information without wasting any time. These new features make it easier for users to find the information they need and make their search experience more efficient and personalized in my opinion.
