You know you love to read, but do you really want to read the best books available? If you’re looking for the absolute best blogs about books out there, here are great places to start! I’ve compiled this list of some of the best book blogs around so you can stay on top of your favorite genre and author’s new releases. So let’s dive into the article:
There are a lot of book blogs out there, but none do it quite as well as Books Are My Bag. This blog is run by a woman in her late 20s who lives in England and reviews books she’s read. She offers insightful commentary on the story and often includes personal thoughts on why she likes or dislikes the book. What really sets this blog apart though is her use of GIFs. Every review has at least one GIF that helps explain something in the book. I am fond of reading books and I read like 20 books in 2020. Most of them were suggested on this blog site, and I loved them all.
If you are interested in reading books, The Book Riot is a great blog. They review books that come out and share news from the publishing world. Plus, they have book recommendations for all types of readers. If you want to know more about the best books newly released, check this out! Book Riot is the blog I started reading recently. The content is really appealing and the way they described the book is awesome.
The New York Times books review section is one of the most respected sources for the latest book reviews and best-selling lists. The site’s author, Dwight Garner, is a Pulitzer Prize winner and writes about books with an emphasis on how they engage with our current culture. Even if you’re not into reading, this blog can still keep you interested with its witty and thoughtful reviews. I used to read blogs in the new york times, at that time I came to know about the book review section and I really enjoyed that. I purchased Silent Patient after reading its overview in the book review section.
There are a lot of great book blogs out there, Electric Literature is also one of the best. The site publishes excellent pieces about books and authors from all over the world, including interviews with writers and discussions of books that have been translated into English for the first time. This interview part looks more appealing to me for this website. You came to know about the author’s mindset and feeling for that book, and how he/she got inspired for that book in the first place. This website can really help you if you are giving reviews on a book, and the author as well.
Another book blog for new releases and reviews is Publisher’s Weekly. Written by a team of avid readers, the site is comprehensive and covers everything from fiction to nonfiction. One of the oldest sites on this list, it’s been published since 1872. Goodreads has a huge audience, so they offer timely opinions on new titles. According to my point of view, the interface is more like craigslist, therefore not so appealing for new readers. But if you are looking for info, this is the site.
The BookPage blog offers book recommendations and reviews. It is also a good place for authors and readers to connect, with author interviews, live chats, giveaways, and more. The blog’s contributors are experts in the publishing industry and make their expertise accessible to readers at all levels of experience.
These are some of the blogs you can read about books, It can be beneficial for you. Please pay a visit to these sites, and suggest the best one in the comments to our readers. Thanks for the time to read it, see you soon.
